Questioning my sanity to why I’m still wearing pants when I’m stuck at home. 🤔⁣ ⁣ Probably because it’s the only way I will actually get some work done. If I don’t attempt to get “dressed” in some capacity, no studying, writing, or videos get done. Anyone else with that issue?⁣ ⁣ So one problem kinda solved. ⁣ ⁣ Now my second biggest struggle is snacking because hello I’m stuck at home with all my food..all day, everyday. More recently, I’ve been craving crunchy salty things and in an attempt to not do too much damage by way of snacking I wanted to try out these Chili Lime Kraut Krisps from @farmhouseculture. ⁣ ⁣ I was intrigued because they have no added sugars, artificial flavors or preservatives. Each 11 oz bag contains 1 cup of Organic Kraut. Plus they are organic. Can we talk about healthy snacking for a bit? I find this question gets asked alot to begin with but even more so now with all the kids home from school 😅 . So I wanted to share just a few snack ideas in case your brain has turned to mush and need some inspiration! 🤗 . apples (dipped in yogurt), bananas (or either of those fruits with peanut butter), berries, fresh avocado chunks, mangos, pineapples, tangerines, dragonfruit, peaches, pears, plums, melons, cucumbers cherry tomatoes, roasted or pan friend veggies (broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, asparagus, carrots, potatoes, etc). Smoothies or frozen smoothie pops (hide all the veggies in it). Raisins or other dried fruits, peanuts, homemade popcorn (a little salt and you won't even need butter). Hard boiled eggs. Salsa, guacamole, hummus. Fresh corn on the cob & so much more! . We try to opt for these the most (give us all the fruits lol) and then we'll switch it up with homemade or organic processed foods like crackers, cookies, chips or anything else like that... Organic means that they are made with no artificial ingredients, preservatives, flavors, colors and have no GMOs. . We consume less toxins this way which is a HUGE benefit... Had a package of basil in the fridge and wanted to create something with it. Pesto seemed to be the answer but I wanted something I could enjoy now. Something spreadable, and filling. Came up with this basil bean spread! It tastes like summer. Here are some tips to avoid this:⁣ ⁣ ✅ Create a shopping list before you get groceries and stick to it. Keep tempting foods out of the house so you don’t even have to think about it being in the cupboard.⁣ ⁣ ✅ Make sure each meal has at least 20g of protein, especially your first meal of the day. This helps to stabilize blood sugar, keep you full for longer, and your metabolism running.⁣ ⁣ ✅ Keep yourself busy with a schedule. Plan out your day so you know when you’re eating your meals, when you’ll cook, work, exercise, make time for self-care, etc.⁣ ⁣ ✅ Drink lots of water. 🦄 Believe it or not, this recipe is delicious, pretty, AND HEALTHY, Despite its sugary pastel hues! 🌠 💫 This is perfect for a virtual cooking get together with some of your EDM friends! ⁣ ⁣ Here's how you can make your dream rave toast:⁣ ⁣ Layout five bowls and add two tablespoons of yogurt or cream cheese to each, then create your colors.⁣ ⁣ Bright pink: Beet juice⁣ ⁣ 💜 Start with 1 teaspoon of beet juice and add slowly until you get a hue you like.⁣ ⁣ 🧡Orange / Yellow: Turmeric juice⁣ ⁣ Juice a 1-inch chunk of turmeric root. So many more shutdowns and regulations put in place everyday are definitely changing life. My days definitely feel like they’ve started melting a bit sometimes. And I feel like my kid is just exploding out of this house 😂 anyone else feeling that way yet? Definitely excited for the no rain forecast for today so we can spend the day in the backyard - some hula hooping and hand stand practice is always fun now that the mud puddles have dried up and our little worm friends have gone underground again 😄 . Backyard hang out days call for yummy snack platters! 🙌☀️ Having to wait in line to get in the store had me procrastinate going back but I was able to make a simple guacamole and black refried bean dip with what I had on hand! I served it with the pita chips and blue corn tortilla chips, but I’d say pretty much anything works, so whatever you have is great 👍 . For the guacamole I used: 2 large avocados, mashed 6 small baby tomatoes, chopped 1 handful cilantro, chopped 1 glove garlic, minced or pressed 1/2 lemon, juiced Salt and pepper to taste . I usually also add jalapeño, red onion and use lime instead of lemon but it was still delicious 😋 . For the black bean dip: 1 can of black refried beans 1 onion, chopped 7 cloves of garlic, minced Chili Lime Seasoning to taste Salt and pepper to taste . It’s delicious warm so I served it right away! I love having leftover black bean dip so I went ahead and made the whole can. It’s delicious for adding into burritos or I also really love using the leftovers as a spread in my vegan grilled cheese sandwich! Adds a whole layer of richness to it 👌 . Hope everyone’s week is off to a good start! 💖 I will be braving the stores later today because we are out of avocado among many other things but that seems the most tragic to me 😄 Who else loves their avocados? 🥑🥑🥑

Grab your rolled oats, peanut butter, honey, protein powder and chocolate chips and run to your kitchen to make these PB CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BALLS with me! 🥜🍫💃🏻 I made these little bites live on @nutritionschool’s IG today so head to their page to see the step-by-step process!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ They’re the perfect healthy snack to have on hand right now especially if you’ve been craving sweet treats... 🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏻‍♀️ they taste like no bake cookies!! And are SO dang easy to whip up. Mix everything together in one bowl and roll them into balls… that’s it! 🙌 This pb chocolate version is my favorite flavor, but I also have 3 other delicious combos #ontheblog that you could try (tahini choc chip, almond joy + cinnamon raisin) and they can all be customized based on the ingredients you already have in your pantry. 💯⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Some notes/substitutions:⁣⁣ ▶️ For the protein, I used chocolate @idealraw but I’ve also been liking @nuzest_usa lately. Brownie improvisado de avena y plátano🍌🍞 Dale un megusta❤ comenta y guarda la receta si te gusta para que instagram te muestre mis publicaciones!🥰 × Ingredientes: 🍚Harina integral (o la que te guste) 🌾Avena en hojuelas 🍌3 bananas maduras 🍫Cacao puro en polvo o chocolate para fundir 🥛Bebida de avena 🎋Azúcar o endulzante que quieras 🥚2 huevos enteros + 2 claras 🌰Nueces o cualquier fruto seco 🥄Cucharita de levadura 🧂pizca de sal × 👩🏽‍🍳CÓMO LO HAGO: Con una batidora de mano, trituramos 2 plátanos junto con la avena en hojuelas. Añadimos los huevos y las claras, bebida vegetal y el azúcar y lo batimos con barillas. Añadimos la harina, el cacao, la levadura y la sal con un colador pars tamizarlo todo. Después agregamos frutos secos troceados (nueces) y mezclamos. Después, cortamos la banana que falta en rodajas y decoramos. Pondremos la mezcla en un molde para que nos quede un bizcocho de máximo 4-5 cm de grosor. Yo usé este desmontable de ikea. Lo dejé en el horno a 130°C durante 30 minutos, luego subí a 180°C 20 minutos más pero esto depende totalmente de vuestro horno id comprobando que no se queme y pinchado para ver si se ha cocinado por dentro. × Quedó realmente bueno, crujiente por fuera y por dentro bizcocho un poco aireado y denso. × Espero que os animéis a probarlo! You think boys eat a lot these girls will eat you out of a home! ⁣ ⁣ Tips for Better Snacking: ⁣ 👙 Wear actual clothes, I’m all for staying in comfy pajamas and relaxing during these times. However, wearing sweats all day won’t allow you to tell if you are over eating as they stretch. So, try your jeans on every now and then. ⁣ ⁣ 💧 Drink a glass of water before reaching for a snack 🙌🏼 ⁣ ⁣ 🥑 Choose a healthy snack, because let’s face it no one can stop at “just” eating a few sun chips. I’ll list a few of my recent favorite nutritious foods below ⬇️⁣ ⁣ 🧘🏻‍♀️ Get up and do something this will allow you to figure out if you are bored or actually hungry. Go for a walk, do the dishes, laundry, play a game, or exercise. These are just a few ideas, but if you are still hungry after there is a good chance you are actually hungry.⁣ ⁣ 🍴 Sit down when you are eating, be in that moment.
