Recipe of the day! Green Machine Smoothie . If you’re like me and sick of your regular smoothie routine try this combo the bonus is it’s super immune boosting too! . They are high in protein and taste great. 🥛🥛Vanilla Cashew Milk 🥛🥛 ⠀ Save a trip to the store! I don’t think I’ll be buying my milk anymore 😉. This simple recipe can be made at home🥰. It tastes even better in smoothies. Creamy and lightly sweetened. Simply Soak your cashews, add your ingredients and blend. Recipe below: ⠀ Ingredients: ⠀ 🥛 1 cup of raw cashews 🥛 3 cups of water 🥛 2 tbsp agave nectar 🥛 1 tsp cinnamon 🥛 1 tsp vanilla extract 🥛 1 pinch sea salt (or to taste) ⠀ Add cashews to a cup or bowl. Then add water until completely covered and soak overnight in the refrigerator. Drain and rinse the cashews. Add cashews and the remaining ingredients then blend for 1 to 2 minutes in a high speed blender until smooth. Serve and enjoy. 😉 ⠀ Note: You can also soak your cashews for 1 hour in warm water if you prefer a quicker method. Nuts naturally have enzyme inhibitors that are released when soaked. So the longer, the better. This milk stays fresh for 3 days. It won’t last that long though. Trust me. 🙌 ⠀

Food that’s beautiful AND delicious - what more could a girl ask for?🤷🏼‍♀️ So I finally tried spirulina (as you maybe saw in my stories) for the first time and despite it’s horrendous smell, I was surprised that when I added a teaspoon to my smoothie I couldn’t even taste it. HAPPY TUESDAY! — Make it count :)) I’m soso happy to see the weather finally getting really nice. Here the high’s getting to 66 today, and I’m loving the hint of summer warmth. Well, in simple terms, it’s the idea that you should eat healthy foods 80% of the time, and allow yourself to enjoy “fun” foods the other 20% of the time. - 📊 Now, these numbers are rough estimates. [Mango Spinach Smoothie] . For the past several weeks of staying home, I realized I drink significantly less water than I used to do. Maybe it’s because I move a lot less during the stay home period, and I don’t get thirsty so often. . BUT I know I should drink water/stay hydrated even if I don’t feel thirsty! (And u should too). 8-12 cups of water daily is recommended for all the adults. Staying hydrated is so important because water plays crucial role in carrying around nutrients and waste products, participating in metabolic reactions, and maintaining homeostasis of the body. The immune system also works more efficiently when you are properly hydrated (hence fighting against COVID-19 👀). . Drinking plain water is not so exciting, I agree. Therefore, we gotta be creative here, for example, making a green smoothie!! . This green smoothie is my go-to. (Find the ingredients in the 2nd pic) Trust me, you can’t taste the spinach! I like to add a small cube of ginger in my smoothie which brings a kick to it! My 5 year plan is to make it through this week 💁🏻‍♀️ . Blueberry PB Smoothie - 2 handfuls of frozen spinach - 2 pieces of frozen watermelon (cut into cubes placed in freezer) - 1/4 c of frozen blueberries - 1/2 a frozen banana - 1/3 c of Greek yogurt. - 1/4 c of unsweetened almond milk - 1 tbsp of peanut butter. - 1 tsp of chia seeds on top. - 1 tbsp of peanut butter drizzle on top. - 2 tbsp of chocolate sea salt purely Elizabeth granola on top

The oats and cashew nuts that are soaked in water were soaked for about 10minutes. It can be soaked for longer if you want, it’s up to you.⁣ ⁣ 2. Vanilla Blueberry Cashew Smoothie Bowl.⁣ ⁣ If you have a sweet tooth (or a couple of sweet teeth) like me I have a feeling this breakfast combo will be up your alley.⁣ ⁣ This combo of chocolate sauce on a blueberry smoothie bowl has become a staple for me - I promise it tastes like you're eating ice cream for breakfast. ⁣ ⁣ The trick to getting to chocolate sauce nice and smooth is to add in a little bit of hot water at a time until you get the desired consistency - I like mine to be like the chocolate syrup you would get at Dairy Queen. ⁣ ⁣ Depending on how sweet you want it, feel free to add in more or less monk fruit (or your sweetener of choice) to suit your tastebuds. ⁣ ⁣ Now let's get into the recipe. ⁣ ⁣ To make the bowl I blended:⁣ ⁣ - 1 cup frozen blueberries⁣ - 2 cups frozen cauliflower⁣ - 1 cup (or less) almond milk⁣ - 2 tablespoons cashew butter⁣ - 1 scoop @vega_team vanilla⁣ - 1 pinch sea salt⁣ - 1 dash vanilla extract⁣ ⁣ For the chocolate sauce:⁣ ⁣ - 2 tablespoons cocoa powder⁣ - 1/2 tsp monk fruit⁣ - water to thin⁣ ⁣ When paired together, the smoothie bowl and the chocolate sauce are a match made in heaven.⁣ ⁣ Are you a smoothie bowl for breakfast kind of person? These warm temps are inspiring me to have tropical smoothies! 🍍🍊. Before we begin: Please rinse or wash ingredients well before prepping. Shake off excess water. 5 cups chopped kale leaves and tender stems 3 stalks celery, chopped 2 cups peeled and diced pineapple 2 cups peeled and diced beets 1 orange, peeled and quartered 1 1-inch ginger root, halved 2 small or 1 large root of turmeric, halved 2 tablespoons collagen powder 1 tablespoon flax seeds 1 tablespoon açaí powder 1 teaspoon mushroom blend powder (such as reishi, lions mane, chaga, cordyceps, etc.) 4 cups cold filtered water 1 cup ice, optional Place all ingredients in the carafe of a high powered blender. Blend until smooth and combined. Trying to avoid big chunks of fruit and veggies. Pour into two large drinking glasses and enjoy immediately. Makes: 2-24oz glasses or 4 6-oz glasses. *If you do not have an ingredient, feel free to omit it or replace it with whatever you do have.
