Tofu al limón con Noodles (V-GF) 🌿. Hoy quiero compartir contigo una receta para darle un toque diferente al tofu. Imagino que a muchos de vosotros aún no le ha conquistado este ingrediente, pero os aseguro que hay muchas maneras de prepararlo para poder enamorarse de él💓. Este plato es alto en proteínas ya que el tofu es una maravillosa fuente vegetal de este macronutriente, además de contener minerales y fibra y aportar grasas saludables. Te recomiendo que compres uno de buena calidad y de textura firme o extra firme -para esta receta- y te pongas manos a la obra. ¿Eres fan del tofu? O aún se te resiste. Cuéntame! . ¿Qué necesitas? ✨ 1 bloque tofu firme o extra firme. ✨ 1 cucharada de AOVE. ✨ 2-3 cucharada sirope de agave o arce. ✨ 2 cucharada tamari o salsa de soja. ✨ Zumo y ralladura de un limón. ✨ 2 cucharada de harina de maíz. ✨ 1/2 taza agua. ✨ Sal y pimienta al gusto. 🌿 Presiona el tofu ayudándote de papel de cocina o una toalla para deshacerte de todo el liquido. 🌿 Precalienta el horno a 180º. Mientras, añade a un bol todos los ingredientes -menos la harina y la ralladura- del marinado de limón. Viértelos en una cazuela y cocina durante 8 minutos aproximadamente, luego añade la harina de maíz y la ralladura vuelve a combinar hasta que la salsa se espese. 🌿 Coloca el tofu con un poco de AOVE en una bandeja y hornéalo 20 minutos, vuelta y vuelta. Cuando lo tengas listo, calienta una sartén con un poco de AOVE y cocina el tofu hasta que esté bien dorado. Cuando esté listo baña el tofu con la salsa de limón y vuelve a darle una vuelta a cada cara hasta que esté bien dorado. 🌿 Finalmente añade un poco de ralladura de limón. Sirve con noodles de calabacín, tomates asados y un toque fresco de perejil.

Satay Tofu Skewers for a high protein #plantbased dinner 😋 I’m loving tofu at the moment but I fancied jazzing it up a bit to make it a bit more interesting and this satay sauce did just the trick! To make the sauce combine; 🍢1 Tbsp Sriracha 🍡1 Tbsp Tamari 🍢Tsp @natvialiving sweetener 🍡 Tbsp peanut butter 🍢 garlic clove Marinade the tofu in the above, place onto skewers and grill. 'Tofu Scramble' with Toast and Avocado. I've made a few tofu scambles over the past year or so, but only just discovered the game changer of adding a healthy ammount of Nooch and soya milk. This was definitely the most scrambled egg tasting batch of tofu I'd ever made. I also learnt to be extra sparing when adding tumeric, just to add a bit of colour but without the bitter flavour. I used the Polish bread you can find in Tesco as it's just the best bread out there for toast in my opinion. - Recipe: Tofu Nutritional Yeast Flakes (Nooch) Preffered Plant Milk Pinch of salt Pinch or tumeric Vegan butter Preffered bread Avocado Chilli flakes Black pepper - Crumble tofu into a bowl, add a handful of Nooch, a splash of plant milk, the tumeric and salt to taste. Melt vegan butter in a pan and add the tofu mix. Stir on a low medium heat for 6-8 minutes. Serve with buttered toast and sliced avocado. Breakfast for dinner 🥑 Avocado on rye toast topped with tofu scramble, some garlicky mushrooms, wilted spinach and cherry tomatoes 🍅 I used both firm and silken tofu to create the perfect tofu scramble texture, recipe below 🌿⁣ ⁣ I adapted this from a @bosh.tv recipe. Finely chop half a red onion and 2 garlic cloves, and sauté in a non-stick pan using a bit of water. Add some salt and allow the onions to cook down. To a blender, add 1 block of silken tofu, 1/3 cup soy milk, 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp black salt, 1 tsp Dijon mustard and 1 tsp miso. Blend till smooth, and then add to the pan. Give everything a stir, then crumble in 1/2 a block of firm tofu. The mixture will start to thicken. Cook until you achieve your desired scramble consistency, stirring continuously. Top it off with some freshly cracked pepper. Pan-Seared Tofu: tofu has as much protein as if you ate a steak, and lots of calcium. And I’m always on the lookout for lean plant protein as a welcome break from animal protein, not just on #meatlessmondays but any old day, just because. I took a pound extra firm tofu, cut it across, then right down the middle. I ended up with 4 identical pieces. I pressed down on the tofu with a towel and some cans to drain maximum liquid. I marinated the pieces in a mixture of toasted sesame oil, mirin, coconut aminos, ginger, sriracha. You’ll see that the tofu absorbs all the liquid. Practically speaking, it means the tofu will have awesome flavors. Sear the tofu on a medium-high flame in a nonstick skillet generously sprayed with vegetable spray. About 3 minutes on each side. I served it with a radicchio endive fennel salad, and a glass of #Vouvray @gautierwines #veganrecipes #tofurecipes

I’m eating the least amount of carbs this week as possible, so had to ditch the rice for this meal☹️. Anyway super easy, broccoli and peppers; tossed in olive oil, pink Himalayan salt and chilli flakes.(same for the okra and onions.) I used extra firm tofu, coated it in hot chili powder and cornstarch. put everything in the oven(not okra and onions) for about 35 minutes and dinner was served with a sprinkle of sesame seeds!! My new go-to is curry udon. It's so easy because everything is instant! 1. Hard boil some eggs to desired softness. I like to boil them for 9 minutes. 2. Boil sweet potato and carrots with udon noodles. Add green onions, cilantro, and/or chicken broth. 3. Cook Japanese curry cube. I like to take the veggies and mix them in here with choice of protein (usually tofu!). 4. Put the soup and udon in a bowl and top it off with the curry mix 😋

Tofu poke bowl! Seared tofu seasoned with salt and pepper, cucumber, watermelon radish, carrots, scallions, sesame seeds, brown rice, and home made dressing (soy sauce, olive oil, sesame oil, rice vinegar, pepper and lime juice) Delicious, nutritious, refreshing, and easy! I made a large batch, ate one serving and stored the rest for meal prep. Lunch for tomorrow is already ready!!!! Spicy Peanut Tofu Stir Fry for #meatlessmonday 🌱I love this meal because it requires a few pantry staples and any veggies you have lying around! I had some bits and ends of mixed veggies in the fridge and leftover rice from the weekend that needed a revamp ⚡️final product- this creamy, perfectly spicy well rounded meal 🙌🏻 Recipe: 1 block extra firm tofu Olive oil cooking spray 2 large carrots, peeled and sliced thin 1 small onion, sliced 1 large zucchini, cut lengthwise and then sliced 1 tsp sesame oil 2 tbsp coconut aminos 1/2 tsp salt Pat the tofu dry and cut into cubes. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and spray each with cooking spray. Toss around to coat evenly. Bake on 375 for 40-45 minutes. In a medium pan, heat the sesame oil. Cook the veggies until browned and mix with coconut aminos, about 10 minutes. Remove from pan to cook the tofu in the sauce. Peanut sauce: 1 tbsp peanut butter 1/4 cup coconut aminos or soy sauce 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup 1 tsp sriracha 1 clove of garlic, mashed 2 tbsp water to thin 1 tsp tapioca flour Using the same veggie pan, mix together all sauce ingredients and toss together with the tofu for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Serve with veggies and rice.

I’ve been offline for a while because I had been slipping back into my eating disorder a little ever since Christmas so thought it was best to take a little hiatus. Finally made house-made Caesar dressing and croutons! So incredibly easy! The dressing is made with silken tofu, garlic, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar , and noori (dried seaweed). The recipe needs to be tweaked a little but I’m impressed for my first go! Also never knew how easy croutons were to make ...I cooked these on the stovetop with oil, salt, garlic powder, and nutritional yeast! It’s also so easy to prepare (especially doing it my method😏😉) I know making a teriyaki flavored tofu is super easy to do at home; as a matter of fact, I made some last week! But when there are easy swaps that use the SAME EXACT ingredients AND are healthy?? Ya girl is always gonna go the quick and easy way😌 I love to pair these bite-sized deliciousnesses (??) with a quick tahini dressing, some roasted veg (coconut amino+umami+mushrooms🥵🥵), and a nutritious starch for an easy meal or meal prep for the week!! - recipe: @traderjoes teriyaki tofu or homemade recipe! 1 block extra firm tofu (pressed) 2 tbsp coconut aminos 1 tbsp minced garlic 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tbsp sesame oil press and cut tofu into 1” pieces. mix all ingredients then let tofu marinate 15-20 min. air fry at 390°F for 12 min, flipping halfway through. coat crispy tofu with excess marinade at the end. I finally figured out the secret to crispy tofu. It’s cooking it in the air fryer! Here’s the details: Start with extra firm tofu (I chose organic but you don’t have to). Push all the water out. I put it in a glass dish and sat a heavy pot on top. Push push push! Get as much water out as you can. Marinate for 15 minutes in low sodium soy sauce, evoo and minced garlic. Airy fry at 370 degrees for 20 minutes. the makings of a fab salad part tois: perfectly crispy tofu. first step is to marinate your tofu as it’s basically tasteless. so here’s the recipe for the best crispy tofu ever! marinated tofu: 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar 3/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup water 2 tbsp hoisin sauce 1 tbsp sriracha 1 tsp garlic powder mix well, then let 400g tofu (cut in cubes or triangle steaks) marinate for at least 15 minutes. the longer the tofu sits in the marinate, the better the tofu will taste- but only up to 2 days in the fridge. crispy tofu coating: 1 cup nutritional yeast 1/2 cup cornstarch 1 tbsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper after your tofu is done marinating, heat your skillet up to medium-high heat. once the pan is hot, add 2 tbsp oil. let oil get hot. while oil heats up, dredge your tofu through your crispy tofu coating and use a long skewer or toothpick to pick it up out of the coating. coat all your tofu before you start frying any otherwise the tofu will be all cooked at different times. after all tofu is coated, spread out on a cutting board, start to place your coated tofu in the pan. fry each piece of tofu for 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy. remove from oil with slotted spoon and place on paper towel. voila! perfectly crispy tofu! **adapted from the @freshrestaurants recipe #youdowinfriendswithsalad #veganfood #crispytofu #tofurecipes #veganchef #plantbased #toronto #canada

An old favourite from when I lived in China! 🇨🇳 🇨🇳 🇨🇳 This is a dish typical from the Sichuan region of China, known for its 麻辣 or ma-la (numbing-hot) flavour. The numbing sensation comes from Sichuan pepper and the hot from fermented chilli bean paste, chilli oil and dried chillis. If you don’t like heat you should definitely skip this recipe!! See my story highlights for step-by-step recipe. . Things you may have to buy in the Chinese shop. This may seem a lot but the ingredients last for years in your cupboard and are vital in loads of Chinese dishes so you’ll put them to good use (more recipes to come!) . Lee Kum Kee - doubanjiang/ chilli bean paste... shaoxing rice wine...Lao gan ma chilli oil...dried Sichuan pepper...dried fermented black beans/douchi...dried chillis...spring onions...tofu (I prefer medium or firm!)...garlic...ginger...light soy sauce...sugar...cornflour...vegetable stock.. . . 1). Either dry fry a handful of Sichuan peppers in a wok or fry in oil. Once you can smell the aroma and the pepper is crisping, remove the pepper corns and keep for later. . 2). Add 3 minced garlic cloves, a tsp of minced ginger, 4 chopped spring onions (white parts) and a handful of black beans to oil, fry until soft. . . 3). Add 1 tbsp of chilli bean paste and a few (around 4-5) dried chilli peppers to the mix. Cook until oil turns red. . 4). Cut the tofu into squares and simmer in salty hot water in separate pot for up to 10 mins (not boil!). . 5). Add 3/4 cup of vegetable stock to chilli mix. Then add 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1tbsp shaoxing rice wine, 1tbsp sugar and 1tsp chilli oil. Check the taste. If too salty you may need more sugar. If the sauce is too strong add some water. . . 6). Add tofu to the pan and cook for 5-10 mins. Mix 1tsp cornflour in a cup with a few tbsp water and add to the chilli at a high heat. Cook until the sauce thickens up. . . 7). Crush the Sichuan pepper you cooked earlier and sprinkle it over the Mapo tofu, also add the green tops from the spring onions. That’s it! A raid of what’s in the fridge chanced upon this winning combo for Monday! Don’t you love accidental victories in the kitchen? Tofu lovers out there, this is for you! 🥰🥳🤩 . . Does anyone else face the “herb problem”? I head to the shops for herbs that I don’t have in my garden, but they are sold in massive bunches that take forever to get through! My dill & parsley were seeing their final days in the fridge, so I decided to combine the last of them in this dish. Sautéed along with garlic & shallots, I added firm tofu, lemon juice, dijon mustard, sun-dried tomatoes, veg stock, pasta water, salt, pepper & a stir through of the last spoonfuls of soured cream. Served on spaghetti with sliced spring onions. Silky pasta with a gorgeous tang of lemon, dill & tomatoes. This could easily work with chicken or a firm white fish, and will definitely feature on our dinner menu again! A rich and spicy curry that would be a hit on the adventurous and multicultural Christmas table. . “Paneer” (Tofu) Curry (Serves 4) . So delicious 😋. . Ingredients . A) 250 grams cubed firm tofu A few dashes of turmeric A few dashes onion powder A few dashes garlic powder A dash of salt 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast 2 tablespoons water 1 teaspoon lemon juice . B) 2 potatoes, peeled and quartered 1 carrot, peeled and cut into bite size pieces 4 cup mushrooms, halved 1 red capsicum, cut into bite size pieces A few dashes onion powder A few dashes garlic powder 1 teaspoon lemon juice . C) 1 tablespoon lemon juice 4 cloves garlic, peeled and minced 4 large vine ripened tomatoes, diced 1 red chilli, chopped 2 brown onions, peeled and diced . D) 1/2 large broccoli, cut into florets 1/2 cup mixed frozen peas and corn 1 teaspoon curry powder 2 teaspoons garam masala 1/2 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon coriander 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds A dash of salt . E) 270 grams coconut milk . Method . Mix A) in bowl, cover, and transfer to fridge for 1 hour or more. When ready, transfer to oven along with B) (see below) for 30 minutes @ 175 C. . Mix B) and transfer to oven for 40 minutes @ 175 C. . Heat lemon juice for C) and add the rest of C) ingredients. Cook for 10 minutes. . Add D) and cook until broccoli turns a dark green. .
